“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
The eagle is a majestic bird known for its strength, resilience, and ability to soar high above the storms. Unlike other birds that seek shelter during a storm, eagles use the wind to rise higher. In the same way, God calls us to trust in Him during difficult times.

Life often presents challenges that make us feel weary and discouraged. We may face trials that drain our energy, whether through struggles in our relationships, work, health, or spiritual journey. But Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that when we put our hope in the Lord, He renews our strength.
Waiting on the Lord does not mean passivity—it means actively trusting in His timing, seeking His guidance, and relying on His power rather than our own. Like the eagle, we can rise above difficulties, empowered by the strength God provides. His grace enables us to keep moving forward, even when we feel weak.
As Psalm 103:5 says, “Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” God promises to refresh and sustain us when we put our trust in Him.
PRAYER OF THE DAY
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my source of strength. When I feel weary and burdened, remind me to wait on You and trust in Your perfect timing. Renew my strength like the eagle so that I may soar above the challenges of life with faith and confidence. Help me to walk in Your power, knowing that You will never leave nor forsake me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
