Charles Stanley Daily Devotional 1st July 2026 (In Touch) Wednesday Message
Charles Stanley Daily Devotional TOPIC: Mighty in Spirit
SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 3:14-16
Most of us want to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit. To become physically fit, we need to exercise and eat well. If our goal is a strong mind, then we must apply ourselves to acquiring knowledge and self-control. However, to become mighty in spirit requires something more than human effort.
You see, none of us was born with a spiritual connection to God. Because of Adam and Eve’s transgression, we were all dead in our sins and separated from the Lord (Ephesians 2:1). But by accepting Jesus into our heart, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, and made alive in our spirit (Ephesians 2:5). This is the first step of the Christian life.
Once we are born again, the indwelling Holy Spirit teaches us how to view life as Jesus does, embrace the Lord’s values and priorities, and follow His example. The more we yield to the Spirit’s instruction, the sooner we’ll be transformed into Christ’s image, equipped to carry out His will, and strengthened in our inner spirit to serve Him.
God desires followers who will dedicate themselves to His plan and show His love to the world. However, He doesn’t expect us to go it alone—He has sent the Helper to strengthen us for the work ahead.
BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psalms 107-111
