God renews your strength—rest tonight in His promise.
BIBLE VERSE
Isaiah 40:31 KJV — But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
MESSAGE
Life often drains us—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Yet Isaiah reminds us that those who wait on the Lord receive renewal. Waiting is not passive; it is active trust, a posture of dependence on God. Tonight, as you prepare for sleep, consider the areas where you feel weary. Perhaps it is the weight of responsibilities, the uncertainty of tomorrow, or the lingering fatigue of past struggles.
God promises renewal, not through your own effort but through His strength. The imagery of soaring like eagles is powerful: eagles do not frantically flap their wings; they rise by catching the currents of wind. In the same way, those who trust God rise by leaning into His Spirit. Sleep becomes a sacred act of waiting—a time when you release control and allow God to restore you.
Think of the night as a divine exchange: you give God your weariness, and He gives you His strength. You surrender your anxieties, and He fills you with peace. You lay down your burdens, and He lifts you up. This renewal is not only for tomorrow’s challenges but also for the long journey of faith.
BEDTIME PRAYER
Lord, I come to You tonight weary and in need of renewal. Thank You for the promise that those who wait on You will find strength. Teach me to trust You in my weakness and to rest in Your care. As I sleep, renew my body, mind, and spirit. Lift me up like an eagle, steady me when I run, and sustain me when I walk. Let me wake tomorrow with fresh endurance and joy in Your presence.
