Where You Place God

BIBLE READING| Exodus 13 – 16

TEXT| “Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.” Revelation 1 :11

MESSAGE| God ought to be first in your life and affairs, but He wouldn’t force Himself on you because He gave man the free will to make that choice for Him. So where you place Him in your heart and all your affairs determines the role He plays in your life.

God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end (Rev. 1 :8), the first and the last (Rev. 1 :11), that is why whoever places Him first and at the very beginning of whatever they want to do by seeking Him will on it and how to go about it, triumphs gloriously in that thing. If He owns your life which He bought with a price, there is no aspect of your that God should be left out from the beginning. To carry on outside God is to have made up your mind to struggle or better still crawl instead of soaring.

In Genesis chapter 11, a group of people decided to build for them a city and a tower whose top may reach unto heaven and to make for them a name and not be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. They were United and totally together in their plan and carried on with their building. But they ended up failing because they did not involve God who would have stopped them from wasting their efforts in embarking on a course which is against His master plan. No wonder the Bible says in Psalms 127 :1; “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain”.

Child of God, don’t allow yourself to be a victim before you learn to involve God in all your affairs right from the beginning. He is the Lord our God, who teaches us to profit and leads us in the way we should go Isaiah 48 :17.

So submit your works unto the Lord and your thoughts shall be established Prov. 16 :3.
