FOCUS: “And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand…” (Joshua 5: 13)
Streams of Joy Daily Devotional 10 October 2021 Message:
In our Focal Scripture, Joshua saw a man, an angel, who later introduced himself as the captain of the Lord’s host. In bible times, captains usually carried double edged swords. So the angel who came to announce Joshua’s new season had a double edged sword. The angel of Joshua’s new level had a double edged sword. A double edged sword cuts in both edges. So Joshua’s new season was a season where both edges could cut sharply.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in this new season of your life, your results shall be like the results of a sharp, two edged sword; every part of you will cut sharply. Every effort you make will cut out results for you. Every prayer you make will cut out fresh answers for you. Every time you speak in tongues, it will birth heavenly results for you. Every side of your sword will cut sharply. Every side of your life will birth amazing results.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: you are in your new season of double edged results. Results will besiege you from all sides. God is repositioning you for effective cutting. Your mark is about to be felt greatly in high places. You are about to be called that one that God positioned for greatness. You are about to be called that one whose sword is cutting down destiny enemies on all sides. You will witness double edged favour.
The season of using a single edged sword is over. The era of receiving help from one corner, is over. The season of receiving income from one source or one side, is over. The season of single edged impact, is over. The season where men will only see one area of your life working effectively, is over. Henceforth, your impact and influence shall be double edged. Your doors will open on all sides. Your gates shall be open on all sides.
Welcome to your new double edged season. Your sword will be effective on all sides.
Isaiah 41: 15 says: “Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.”
DECLARATION: My sword will cut sharply on all sides, in Jesus’ name!
