On the Way to Canaan (2)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 21-22
TEXT : “And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way,; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people”. Exodus 13 :20 – 22.
Very vital n your journey to Canaan is the presence of God. Child of God, ensure God leads the way. When He leads, the destination is very sure. No matter what confronts you on the way, you overcome them cheaply because if divine presence.
The children of Israel started their journey with God and continued with Him. God led them, He fought for them and provided for them. Scripture says in Isaiah 48 :21; “And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out”. He rained down manna for them (Exod. 16 :35), gave them quails (Exod. 16 :13).
The presence of God was what made the difference in their midst and set them above all the nation’s around them. That was why when they sinned in Exodus 32 and God plauged them because they made the calf (vs 35) and told them He will not go up in the midst of them anymore less He consumes them on the way but will send an angel before them and the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments (Exod. 33 :2 – 6). They mourned because they knew what the presence of God in their midst is. And Moses pleaded Exod. 33 :13 – 15.
Child of God, the presence of God with a man is what guarantees rest on the journey and all through destiny. So, ensure God goes with you.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, Iet your presence go with me as I journey to Canaan.
