The Seed of the Righteous (2)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 4-6

TEXT: And I will put enmity between thee and the women, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3 :15.

There is a long time enmity between the devil and the woman (the righteous), between her seed and his and that is still on. The devil who lost his place and position in heaven and doomed for hell, is still envious of man determined to also ruin him and his posterity. He attacked man (the man and woman) in the garden through the woman, but now after the fall, he is particular about their seed.

Jesus Christ the son of God, born as the seed of the woman came and defeated the devil, restored man (the redeemed) to his place of dominion to take charge and to always place the devil in his place of defeat under his feet (Rom. 16 :20; Psa. 110 :1).

Then he can exercise the power, giving to him to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt him. Luke 10 :19.

But when the devil is rated above his position, treading on him becomes difficult. God knows the devil will always fight back, hence He placed him under man’s feet. But when he is in his rightful place of defeats, he can only attempt to bruise the heel of the redeemed man which off course will bruise his head.

It is therefore the duty of the redeemed to bring up their seeds in the way of the Lord by being an example to them in order to make them to fulfil their great destiny. Scripture says of the seed of the righteous who fears the Lord, “His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.” Psalms 112 :2.

In other words, the redeemed who does not fear God and is not upright in his ways is an hindrance to the destiny of his seed. Such parents, open up their Children to the attack of the devil who is at war with them. Obedience to the counsel of God shields the seed of the righteous.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me Lord to be a godly example to my seed, in Jesus name.
