Topic: Victory Through God
Opening Prayer: Dear Lord, grant me understanding and illumination as I ponder on your word in Jesus name.
Scripture: Psalm 144:1-15
Question(s) for Reflection
• Is there any example for me to follow or not to follow? • Is there any command for me to obey?
King David was in a serious problem and looked up to God to deliver him from the deep waters and the power of the enemies (vs.7-8). As Christians, when problems come our way, first, we must go to God for help. David, in the midst of his problems, extols and appreciates God for the past victories He granted him (vs.1-2). Indeed, God is stronger than our problems and our troublers!
He delivered us like David in the past, He will deliver us again. Read vs.5-6 and point out some of the ways God can fight for His people; earthquake that destroys or swallows our problems, fire (lighting), shooting arrows at satanic forces that are against His people. While the battle is on, David believed God for victory and he composes a new song in advance to praise the Lord. God loves our praise and thanksgiving. When we believe and allow God to lead us in battles of our life, victory is assured. Read also vs.12-15 and note other plunders of war that the Lord will release to His children.

Closing Prayer
• Lord, I surrender myself and all my battles to you. • Pray for Human Rights organizations to take interest in the persecution of Christians.
