In Exodus 3:1-4 , Moses encountered God while tending to the flock of his father-in-law.
In Judges 6:11-24, Gideon was busy threshing wheat at a hidden wine press when an angel visited him and his divine assignment was commissioned.
Similarly, all Jesus disciples were busy doing one thing or the other when they were called. Paul was busy persecuting the Church when God called him.
This proves a point; God has no business with a lazy fellow. If you read through the Bible, you will find out that all those who encountered God played their role. So, if you want a turnaround in any aspect of your life, you have to work. If you want to be the best in your class, you have to find out what the best student at the moment is doing and surpass it.
If you want to grow spiritually, you need to have an encounter with God and to get this encounter, you need to hunger and thirst after God. Spend time in the presence of God fasting and communicating with Him. Laziness is not allowed in the kingdom.
KEY POINT: To have an encounter with God, you have to work for it.
