Understanding the Anointing..(2)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 37-39
TEXT: And there was delivered unto him the book of the Prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. – Luke 4 :17-18.
Wherever the anointing is present, there is an assignment to attend to. Below are a few of what the anointing does:
1. To Preach The Gospel To The Poor: A poor man does not need money, he needs the gospel. Poverty is not the absence of finance, it is the absence of information. If you are mentally poor, you will be financially poor. Poverty is not of God.
2. To Heal The Broken Hearted: Don’t weep over a broken heart. No matter who has caused you pain, there is healing for you.
3. To Preach Deliverance To The Captives: Deliverance is not prayed but preached. Encounter with the word brings liberty (John 8 :32).
4. Recovering Of Sight To The Blind: To be blind is to have your vision affected. A life of blindness is a life of frustration. One major sponsor of blindness is sin. As soon as Samson fell, they plucked off his eyes.
5. To Set At Liberty Them That Are Bruised: If you have been bruised, you are the one that will release yourself. The anointing is available to take away those scars off you. The Bible says remember not the former things (Isa. 43:18-19).
The anointing will open you to the new things God has packaged for you. You have to let go and go up.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, let the purpose of the anointing be fulfilled in my life.
