The Place of Spiritual Warfare

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 2 John 1

TEXT: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12

MESSAGE: A life that devoid of spiritual warfare is devoid of exploits and fulfillment. Until you get yourself abreast with this truth and begin to operate in it, you may not maximize your destiny or be who God has ordained you to be. Every child of God is enlisted into the army of God as a soldier of Christ. Even if you have not offended anyone, as long you have a destiny, the kingdom of darkness would aim at truncating it.

That is why you have to be violent to enforce God’s counsel for your life. You should not rest on your oars and watch your destiny get truncated like John the Baptist. It is not enough to have prophecies of God over your life, take a step further and birth them into existence in the place of prayer. You would be co-operating with the devil to keep you in bondage when you fail to engage in spiritual warfare and pray your destiny out of every satanic web into your God-ordained future.

You must come to the terms with this truth that life does not give you what you wish for, but what you demand for. The kingdom of darkness would not fold their hands and watch you walk away with that glorious job, contract, baby, favour, lifting etc. without putting up a fight for it, so you have to take it by force in the place of prayer.

Apostle Paul said to Timothy “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightiest war a good warfare” (1 Tim. 1 :18). “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life” (1 Tim. 6 :12).

Be prepared to fight.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I awake my spiritual muscles to fight.
