The Way Up

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: James 4-5

TEXT: Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. Job 8 :7.

The way up is to start from the very beginning. To mount up the ladder, there are steps to climb, starting from the first one. No man jumps onto a ladder from the very top without expecting to crash. God is a ‘Maker’ of men not a ‘Messer’ of men. For every phase God passes you through, there is a lesson of life to be learnt.

God did not take the Israelites through a shortcut, rather He took them through the wilderness in order to process them into who He had ordained them to be so that when they enter Canaan, they would be His very delight; He wanted to take Egypt out of them. Listen, God will not use you until He has taught you.

Child of God, you are on the way up. Everything about you is transforming, your today is better than your yesterday and your tomorrow, than your today, “For the path of the just is as the shinning light that shinneth more and unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4 :18).

Refuse to allow your ways divert from the high ways of God for “there is a way that seemeth right unto man but the ways thereof are the ways of death (Prov. 14 :12).

Being the head indeed and not the tail had a condition attached to it as stated in Deuteronomy 28 :1; It says,”… If thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations”.

God is committed to supplying all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, not by the economy system of the world. (Philippians 4:19), so do not allow your wants to drive you out of the will of God.

The way up is only in God and in His Word.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to abide in your will.
