To overcome discouragement, you must of necessity, encourage yourself in the Lord. The question now is “How do I encourage myself in the Lord?” God gave Joshua, the formula in Joshua 1:8; “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do”…

When you know the Word, then you know God; and when you know God, you have faith in Him, and you are encouraged. By His words, you know His promises, what He has done and what He will do. Paul said, “I know whom I have believed”. Abraham kept giving glory in spite of his present circumstance because of his knowledge of God.

Also, by coming consistently to the house of God, your spirit man is encouraged. “They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God” (Psalms 84 :7).
The house of God is the place of strength, there you trade your weakness for His strength, pain for His gain, shame for His fame and disgrace for His grace.

In the presence of God, there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16 :11), which swallows up discouragement and restores hope. Invest kingdom books and messages that amplify God’s Word for…

“Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom. 10 :17).

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, every root of discouragement in my life, dry up by fire.
