Do Not Lose Your Soul

BIBLE READING: Titus 1-3
TEXT: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8 :36 – 37.
In this age of much hustling and bustling, coping to make ends meet and trying to be the best you can be, it is pertinent that we intermittently slow down to take stock if we are still in the faith; if the pursuit for material acquisitions is diverting our love for God and retrace our steps back to our first love.
2 Corinthians 13 :5 Says, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
It is most important that we consistently check to see where we stand with God because none of our achievements can take the place of living a righteous life, and nothing would be accepted in exchange for our souls.
Therefore in your pursuits, in your aspirations and business, be sure that you are not losing your soul. Heaven and Hell is real and there is no repentance in the grave.
Child of God, Jesus is coming again and He is only coming for your soul; nothing else counts to Him.
PRAYER
My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me in all my life’s pursuits to abide by your standard, that my soul may be saved, in Jesus name.
