Maintain the Right Focus (2)

In the battle of life, what you focus on determines if you will end up as the Victor or the victim. The children of Isreal had two different sets of people called the twelve spies that were sent to view the Promised Land. One of the groups, made of ten spies, focused on their weakness and disadvantages, hence reflecting on their report.
The wrong mentality made them inferior in their own sight and made the giants, the sons of Amalek bigger than what they actually were. The spies reported this about themselves “and we were in our own sights as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight” (Numbers 13 :33). They first saw their exaggerated weakness and also believed the opposition saw them that way and therefore, rated their enemies to be much more powerful than they actually were.
But the other group, which was made up of just made of two men, Caleb and Joshua had another spirit- the spirit of faith. They did not focus on their weakness, but saw their ability to take the city because they focused on God who had promised them the land; they focused on God who was with them and for them in every situation of life and they declared, “… Let us go at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it” (Numbers 13 :30).
They had understanding of the scripture, “… If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Roman’s 8 :31). They also knew “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4 :4). Only Caleb and Joshua, the two spies with the right focus possessed the land in that generation.
Child of God, the ball is in your court, make up your mind to maintain the right focus and God will wrought great victories through you.
