Topic: Helped Into Increase

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 4: 1-7

1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”

So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”

Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”

So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”

And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

Focus: “Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.” (2 Kings 4: 3)

Elisha commanded the widow of one of the sons of the prophets to go to her neighbours and borrow vessels. Those vessels were going to be the space into which her oil would multiply. Those vessels were needed for the next level of overflow that was about to be made manifest in her life, and it came from her neighbours. Those vessels were needed for the advancement that was to come to her, and it came from her neighbours.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: what you need in order to move to your next level will come from close quarters. People around you will supply the information that will move you higher; people that may never have helped you before will provide platforms for you to succeed; people you least expected to add value to you will give you resources, opportunities, ideas, support, recommendations, etc that will move you forward.

Get set: people around you will be under a mandate to give you what you need. The help you need to rise higher will come freely; the clients that will cause your business to take a lift will come through people around you; the advancement you seek will be made easy by people from close quarters; God will compel men to give you what you need to make progress; God will put it in the heart of people to make your progress easy.

As that woman took vessels from her neighbours, all she got was support, and there was no opposition. People in her environment all cooperated to make her next level a reality. Hear me as I hear the Lord: people in your environment will cooperate to make your next level a reality; people connected to you will be unanimous in their support for you; you will get the support you need from people connected to you.

Call forth the supporters you need from your environment. Command the men connected to you to work for your advancement.

Declaration
What I need to advance will be given to me by men in my environment, in Jesus’ name!
