Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus(7)
by Apostle Johnson Suleman

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 2 Cor.10-11.

TEXT: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb. 12:2.

Jesus Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1 Cor.1:24. He operated in uncommon wisdom that was dumbfounding and manifested the power of God to the extent that people exclaimed “… From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?” Mark 6 :2.

He operated with revelational knowledge. He knew what to do all the time. In John 6:5 when he saw a great company come unto him, he said to Philip ‘Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

And verse 6 says ” And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.” He knew all men and did not commit himself unto them (John 2 :24).

He knew how to respond to issues, and what to say. Scripture says, “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” Luke 21 :15.
When they brought the woman caught in the act of adultery and reminded him of the law of Moses, his response weaken them (John 8 :3-11).

In Matthew 22, the Pharisees took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk, and asked Jesus whether it is lawful to give tribute unto Caesar or not. Jesus perceived their wickedness, he knew they came to tempt him.

When he had asked them of whose image and superscription on the tribute money and they said Caecar, he stated, “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s and unto God the things that are God’s. When they had heard these words, they marveled, left him, and went their way. Vs 15 -22. Jesus knew when to stay and confront oppositions, and when to retreat.

PRAYER.
My Father! My Father! As I pray now, help me to be like Jesus.
