MESSAGE TOPIC: FAITH LEVELS AND GROWTH

SERVICE OBJECTIVES:
1. Understanding the levels of faith
2. Understanding the growth of faith
THERE ARE TWO THINGS THAT SCRIPTURES MAKE CLEAR:
1. Faith is in levels
2. Faith grows
We are not all at the same level of faith so we are not all at the same level of impact and results
LEVELS OF FAITH:
1. No Faith (Mark 4:40; Luke 8:24-25; Luke 22:31-32)
No faith is the level where faith is zero; faith is nowhere to be found in the face of confrontation
No faith is the level where faith has failed
Where faith is zero, calamity is inevitable
Where faith is zero, people go and consult native doctors
2. Common Faith (Tit. 1:4; Jude 1:3; Acts 6:7; Acts 14:20-22; 24:24)
This is the level of baseline faith; it is the faith that is available to everyone that is saved
The common faith is responsible for the common salvation
The common faith is the level from which we are expected to grow our faith
Unfortunately many believers stop at this level of faith
3. Little Faith (Matt. 6:30; 8:26; 14:31; 16:8; Luke 12:28)
Little faith is faith that believes in God but still has some allowance for doubt
Little faith is faith that exists with fear inside it
Little faith is faith that is still exercising worry and anxiety
Little faith is faith that has not been developed to maturity
Little faith is responsible for little results, little impact and minimal outcome
4. Great Faith (Matt. 8:10; 15:28; Luke 7:9-10)
Great faith is faith that believes in the integrity of the Word of God
Great faith is faith that is moved by light not by sight
Great faith is faith that will not take ‘no’ for an answer
Great faith is stubborn, tenacious faith
Great faith is faith that obtains results for others
5. The Faith of the Son of God (the Master’s Faith) (Gal. 2:20; Acts 3:14-16; 4:16; 19:11-12)
Ordinary faith produces ordinary miracles, little faith produces little miracles, great faith
produces great miracles and the faith of the Son of God produces notable and special miracles
When the faith of the Son of God is to operate, a man merely becomes a vessel
The faith of the Son of God does not operate in people that are alive but in people that are dead to self
The faith of the Son of God produces results that capture territorial attention
THERE ARE TWO DIMENSIONS OF FAITH:
i. Size
ii. Strength
Size refers to little, great etc. as seen above
The strength of faith can either only be weak or strong faith (Rom. 4:17-20)
For example, faith can be ‘little and strong’ or ‘little and weak’
Your objective is not just to grow your faith in size but to grow it in strength
You can move from one faith level to another level of faith (Rom.1:17; 2Thess. 1:3)
Faith can grow and grow exceedingly
‘Lacking faith’ can be made whole (1Thess. 3:10)

WHAT DO YOU DO TO GROW YOUR FAITH?
1. Increase in Light (John 1:1-5; Rom. 10:17)
Faith comes by receiving and receiving the light of the Word
Little light will handle little darkness, brighter light will handle bigger darkness, mega light will handle mega darkness and Master light will master darkness!
Little light equals little faith, great light equals great faith, mega light equals mega faith
Refuse to be familiar with the Word of God – familiarity is the enemy of insight
To feed your faith with light is to fatten your faith
Increase in light is the equivalent of increasing your eating to avoid malnutrition
2. Continuous Exercise (1Tim. 4:8; 4:14-15)
Exercise increases muscle bulk and destroys useless mass
When you exercise yourself in the faith you build your faith muscle and destroy your doubt mass, and also destroy worry and anxiety mass
To exercise yourself in the faith is to do what God said you should do and stay at it
If you don’t see the results today, just keep at it and you will see an answer tomorrow
3. Faithfulness in action (Job 13:15; 14:14; Luke 16:10; Acts 6:8)
This is the aspect of keeping at it
Whatever level of faith you find yourself, maximise it. Promotion comes with faithfulness
If you want your faith to go through the roof, be reliable as a person
If your word can count, God’s Word to you will count; if you know how to keep your word, you won’t doubt God’s ability to keep His Word
Let people know you for the reliability of your word; after you have spoken there is no need to swear; let your speech be your oath. (Heb. 6:17-18)
Unreliability is an attack on faith
Be reliable in terms of saying what you mean and meaning what you said, and you will be shocked at the level of results you will experience in life!
Where you see faith you see power and where you see power you see wonders! (Acts 6:8)
PRAYERS POINTS
- Father, I receive fresh light for the movement of my faith to the next level; I receive fresh light NOW in Jesus’ Name!
- Father, I receive the discipline for the exercise of my faith; I receive it NOW, in Jesus’ Name.
- Father, grace for faithfulness, grace to be reliable, grace to be dependable and grace to be trustworthy, I receive that grace NOW, in Jesus’ Name.
- Father, I ask that You will assist me to move to the next level in faith; assist me Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
- Father, thank You Lord for answered prayers. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
COMMUNION FOCUS:
Communication of the Spirit of faith of the Son of God
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– God is moving you by His Power into the realm of great faith
– Anyone that came in here with an affliction, that affliction is terminated now in Jesus’ Name!
– God is about to do something through your life that your family, community and nation cannot claim ignorance of!
– I decree and I prophesy, that long awaited change is coming!
– Tonight, there is a breakthrough for you in the realm of the spirit!
– A new chapter in faith opens up for you tonight! As your faith shifts gear your results shall equally shift gear!
– Unusual releases, recoveries and replications are yours in Jesus’ Name!
– Every demon of doubt and spirit of unbelief that has taken root in your life is uprooted now!
– Whatever demonic entity is afflicting your life, today their powers are over forever!
