OUTLINE
When you toy with the enemy, there is danger. The enemy is very dangerous. Even when you score seventy per cent success, the enemy can still operate in your life, as he needs just a little foothold. May God speak heart to heart to you in today’s devotional study.
A man came back from a prayer mountain and asked his wife to prepare pap for him, but the woman refused to do it. After the man’s arrival from seven days’ absolute fasting programme, the next thing the wife said was, “I want to go and plait my hair.” “But how about my pap?” the man asked. To this, the woman said: “Didn’t you ask the angels to prepare it for you?” And the man gave her a dirty slap. The woman fell down and died. The man broke his fast in the police station. If that man had dealt with his anger before going to cry to God on the mountain, God would have settled with him in his sitting room and he would not have needed to even go to the mountain.
When you take the problem of the valley to the mountain, you are just wasting your time. What is the weakness that the enemy is using against you? The preweakness of some people is their sharp mouth. Their mouth has no control. The speed of words coming out of their mouth is 300 words per minute, and 299 of these words are satanic. The enemy will make them to keep talking. The problem of other is inordinate lust for money. Some university girls are messing themselves up because of inordinate affection. Many of them are suffering right now. Many of them rush to the church for deliverance only after they have gotten into trouble. It would have been better for them to have avoided immorality.
The Bible offers practical solution to stem the intrusion of the enemy into your life. The Bible offers useful steps to block his attempts to make inroads into your life. In fact, the only thing that is suitable for the “old man is a death sentence.
