BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Return, O Lord! How long? Have compassion on Your servants. Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” – Psalm 90:12–14
Life is a precious gift, and every day is an opportunity to know God more deeply and serve Him more faithfully.
In Psalm 90:12–14, Moses prays, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” He reminds us that our time on earth is limited, and therefore every moment should be lived with purpose, gratitude, and dependence on God.
To number our days is not to live in fear of the future.
It is to recognize the value of today.
It is to make choices that have eternal significance.
It is to invest our time in loving God, serving others, and growing in faith.
Moses also cries out for God’s compassion and asks to be “satisfied in the morning” with His unfailing love. This teaches us that true joy is not found in wealth, success, or possessions but in experiencing God’s faithful love every day.
When our hearts are filled with His presence, we can rejoice even during difficult seasons because our hope rests in Him.
Each new morning is a fresh reminder of God’s mercy.
His grace is new.
His love never fails.
His compassion never runs out.
As we begin each day in His presence, He gives us the wisdom, strength, and joy we need to walk faithfully with Him.
Today, ask the Lord to help you use your time wisely. Let His unfailing love be the first thing that fills your heart each morning, and allow His wisdom to guide every decision you make.
A life centered on God is a life filled with lasting purpose and enduring joy.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of life and for every new day You graciously give me. Thank You for Your unfailing love that never changes and Your mercies that are new every morning.
Lord, teach me to number my days so that I may live wisely and make every moment count for Your glory. Help me to spend my time pursuing what is eternal rather than what is temporary.
Fill my heart each morning with the assurance of Your love. Let Your presence be my greatest joy and Your wisdom be my daily guide.
Have compassion on me, strengthen me in times of weakness, and help me to trust You through every season of life.
May my days be marked by faithful obedience, joyful worship, and unwavering hope in You until the day I see You face to face.
