Joel Osteen Daily Devotional 2 August 2026 (Sunday) Message. Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen.

Joel Osteen Daily Devotional 2 August 2026 TOPIC:

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Don’t be ridiculous!” Saul replied. “There’s no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You’re only a boy, and he’s been a man of war since his youth.”
1 Samuel 17:33, NLT

TODAY’S WORD
When the young shepherd David told King Saul that he would fight Goliath, Saul declared that David was being ridiculous. This is the moment when many people miss God’s best. They get discouraged when the people around them contradict what they believe God has spoken to them and allow it to change who they are. David knew he was anointed to be the next king; he had killed a lion and bear with his own hands, and he knew the power of God would help him kill the giant. The opposition was just a sign that it was on the way. David didn’t let it change how he saw himself or take on that limited identity.

Don’t be surprised if naysayers tell you, “You’ll never get the promotion, never accomplish that goal, never see your family restored.” Ignore them and come into agreement with what God has spoken over your life. Get your identity from Him and not from people, not from circumstances, not from your feelings. Those do not define you. Be patient. Your time is coming. What God promised you is still on schedule.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You that I am not limited by what the people around me say or think about me. Thank You that You have qualified me to do what You have destined me to do. I will not allow others to put a limitation on what You have put in my heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
