We live in a culture that treats busyness like a badge of honor. By Sunday afternoon, many of us are already anticipating the chaotic rush of the week ahead. We crawl into bed, but our minds keep spinning with to-do lists, family schedules, and silent worries. We try to escape through social media or television, but our souls remain tired.
The truth is, physical sleep can’t cure a weary soul. Only Jesus can.
When Jesus invites the “weary and burdened” to come to Him, He isn’t offering a vacation or a temporary break. He is offering Himself. True spiritual rest isn’t the absence of activity—it is the presence of God. It is the deep, quiet confidence that no matter how much you have to do, you don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your own shoulders.
Today, let go of the pressure to do it all. Lay down your worries at His feet, breathe deeply, and allow His grace to refill you for the week ahead.

Lord Jesus,
I come to You today feeling tired in my body and weary in my soul. I have tried to carry so many things on my own, and my strength is running thin. I lay down my to-do lists, my worries, and my anxieties at Your feet.
I ask that You would fill me with Your perfect peace today. Teach me how to truly rest in Your presence. Let my heart quiet down, and remind me that You are in control of tomorrow. Refresh my spirit so I can face the week ahead with joy.
