BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “Listen to me, O royal daughter; take heart to what I say: Forget your own people and your father’s home. For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.” – Psalm 45:10–11 (Living Bible)
Psalm 45 paints a beautiful picture of devotion, honor, and wholehearted commitment. While these verses were originally spoken in the context of a royal wedding, they also remind believers of their relationship with Christ, the eternal King.
The psalmist says, “Forget your own people and your father’s home.” This is a call to leave behind old loyalties and embrace a new life of wholehearted devotion. As followers of Jesus, we are invited to turn away from the values of the world and give Him first place in our hearts.
Following Christ often requires leaving behind old habits, sinful desires, and anything that competes with our love for Him.
Jesus calls us to a new way of living—a life marked by holiness, faithfulness, and complete surrender.
The psalm also says, “Your royal husband delights in your beauty.”
How encouraging it is to know that God delights in His people! Through Jesus Christ, we are clothed in His righteousness and welcomed into His family. Our worth is not based on our past or our achievements but on His grace and unfailing love.
When we honor the Lord with our lives, we reflect the beauty of His transforming work within us.
Today, let your heart be fully devoted to the King of kings. Leave behind anything that pulls you away from Him, and embrace the joy of walking closely with Christ.
The greatest beauty a believer can possess is a heart that loves, trusts, and obeys the Lord.

Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me into a loving relationship with You through Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your grace that makes me a new creation and welcomes me into Your family.
Lord, help me to leave behind anything that keeps me from wholehearted devotion to You. Remove every distraction, sinful habit, and worldly desire that competes for my affection.
Teach me to honor You in my thoughts, words, and actions. Let my life reflect the beauty of a heart that has been transformed by Your love and guided by Your truth.
May You always be my first love and my greatest treasure. Strengthen me to walk faithfully with You each day and to live in a way that brings delight to Your heart.
