As followers of Christ, our greatest ambition should not be fame, success, or the approval of others—it should be to please God.
In 2 Corinthians 5:9, the Apostle Paul declares, “We make it our goal to please Him.” This was the driving purpose of his life. Whether in times of joy or suffering, abundance or hardship, Paul’s desire remained the same: to honor the Lord in everything he did.
This is the calling of every believer.
God is not looking for perfect people, but for hearts that are fully devoted to Him. Pleasing God begins with faith, grows through obedience, and is expressed in the way we love Him and serve others.
When pleasing God becomes our highest priority, our decisions begin to change.
We choose integrity over compromise.
We choose forgiveness over bitterness.
We choose humility over pride.
We choose obedience over convenience.
Living to please God also frees us from the exhausting pursuit of human approval. People’s opinions may change, but God’s truth remains constant. When our hearts are fixed on Him, we find peace in knowing that our lives are guided by His purpose rather than the expectations of the world.
Every act of kindness, every quiet prayer, every faithful step of obedience, and every sacrifice made for Christ is seen by our Heavenly Father.
Nothing done for His glory is ever wasted.
Today, ask yourself: Whose approval am I living for?
Make it your daily goal to honor the Lord in your thoughts, words, actions, and attitudes. A life that seeks to please God is a life that brings Him glory and experiences the joy of walking closely with Him.

Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me to live a life that honors You. Thank You for Your love, mercy, and the grace You have given me through Jesus Christ.
Lord, help me to make pleasing You the highest priority of my life. Let my thoughts, words, and actions reflect Your character each day.
Give me the courage to obey Your Word, even when it is difficult, and keep me from seeking the approval of people more than Your approval.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may walk in humility, integrity, and faithful obedience. May every part of my life bring glory to Your name.
