Life is constantly changing.
Seasons come and go. Circumstances shift. People change. Nations rise and fall. Yet in the midst of an ever-changing world, one truth remains forever certain: God never changes.
Psalm 90:2 declares, “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”
Written by Moses, this verse reminds us that long before creation existed, God already was. Before the mountains stood in their majesty, before the oceans filled the earth, and before time itself began, God reigned in perfect power, wisdom, and holiness.
He is the Eternal One.
Unlike everything around us, God is not limited by time. He sees the beginning and the end simultaneously. He knows every detail of our lives and every moment of our future. Nothing surprises Him, and nothing can alter His perfect plans.
This truth brings great comfort to believers.
When life feels uncertain, we can rest in the certainty of God’s unchanging nature.
His love does not fade.
His promises do not fail.
His power never weakens.
His faithfulness never comes to an end.
The God who sustained Abraham, guided Moses, strengthened David, and raised Jesus from the dead is the same God who walks with His children today.

What He has spoken remains true forever.
This gives us a solid foundation on which to build our lives.
When everything else seems unstable, God’s character remains our anchor.
Psalm 90 also reminds us of the brief nature of human life.
Our days pass quickly, but the God we serve is everlasting.

Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being the everlasting God, from everlasting to everlasting. Thank You that You never change and that Your love, mercy, and faithfulness endure forever.
Lord, when my circumstances are uncertain, help me to place my complete trust in You. Remind me that You are sovereign over all creation and that nothing is beyond Your power or knowledge.
Strengthen my faith to rely on Your unchanging promises instead of my changing emotions or circumstances. Help me to build my life upon Your eternal Word and to seek Your kingdom above temporary things.
Fill my heart with peace, knowing that my future is safely in Your hands. Guide my steps, protect my life, and help me to live each day for Your glory.
Thank You for being my refuge, my strength, and my everlasting hope.
