The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of our hope.
In Revelation 1:18, the glorified Lord declares, “I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!” These words are a triumphant proclamation that death did not have the final say. The grave could not hold Him, and sin could not defeat Him.
Jesus is alive forever.
Because He lives, our faith is not built on a distant memory but on a living Savior who reigns with all authority. He walks with His people, hears their prayers, and intercedes for them even now.
The verse continues with another powerful promise: “I hold the keys of death and Hades.”
Keys symbolize authority and control. Jesus has conquered the power of death through His sacrifice and resurrection. For those who trust in Him, death is not the end but the doorway to eternal life in God’s presence.
This truth gives believers courage in every season.

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus Christ, the Living One who died and rose again in victory. Thank You that because He lives, I have hope that cannot be shaken.
Lord, help me to trust in Your power over every fear and every uncertainty. When I face difficulties, remind me that You are sovereign and that nothing is beyond Your control.
