TOPIC: Divine Health And Healing
SCRIPTURE: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Healing may be an event, but Divine health is a lifestyle.
Our God is not only a Healer; He is also the Preserver of life and the Sustainer of our health. From our anchor Scripture, we see clearly that healing is part of the redemption package, and divine health is part of covenant living. God desires that His people live in wholeness—spirit, soul, and body—so they can serve Him effectively and fulfil their assignment on the earth.
Divine healing is God’s intervention in restoring health where the enemy has attacked through sickness, disease or affliction, while divine health is the grace to live above disease and affliction. Healing may be an event, but divine health is a lifestyle. It is God’s desire not just to take sickness away, but to establish His children in strength and vitality.
Now, it is important to establish the following:
1. God’s plan for His people is Divine health. Throughout Scripture, we see God consistently healing His people through the prophets, our Lord Jesus Christ, and through the apostles. This clearly shows that healing is not an exception; it is part of God’s core agenda for His people.
2. God does not only heal; He also empowers His people to carry out healings. Jesus gave His disciples the power to heal all manner of sicknesses and diseases. This means that healing is not only something we receive, but it also flows through us to others.
3. Another key truth is that God’s Word carries healing power. That is why Psalm 107:20 says, He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
4. Finally, what you believe determines what you experience. When you believe the truth of God’s Word, you operate in faith, but when you believe the lies of the enemy, fear takes over. The Word of God remains superior to any negative experience, report, or dream.
The Word of God carries healing power that is activated and deployed by the force of faith unto manifestation.
REMEMBER THIS: Healing may be an event, but divine health is a lifestyle.
ASSIGNMENT(S)
1. Engage the Word fervently and position yourself for the flow of Divine health and the preservation of your body.
2. Resist every trace of sickness by authoritatively declaring your healing with faith in the immutable Word of God.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your provisions for my health and healing. I receive Your Divine Life into every cell of my body; every affliction is hereby terminated. I walk in health, strength, and wholeness, Lord, in Jesus Name.
