BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 4:6
From the very beginning, God has been a God of light. In creation, He spoke light into darkness, and instantly chaos gave way to clarity. In the same way, God still brings light into dark places—especially within the human heart.
2 Corinthians 4:6 reminds us that the same God who created physical light also shines spiritual light into our lives.
Before Christ, many hearts are filled with confusion, fear, emptiness, or spiritual blindness. But when God reveals Himself, everything changes. His light begins to illuminate truth, purpose, and hope.
This light is found in Jesus Christ.
The verse says God shines in our hearts to reveal “the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” When we look to Jesus, we see the character, love, mercy, and power of God revealed clearly.
Jesus becomes the light that guides us out of darkness.
Sometimes life can still feel dark. Challenges arise, uncertainty comes, and discouragement tries to settle in. But God’s light within you is greater than the darkness around you.
His light gives wisdom when you feel confused.
His light gives peace when fear tries to grow.
His light gives hope when situations seem impossible.
And just as light naturally shines outward, God also calls us to reflect His light to others. The more we walk closely with Christ, the more His love and truth become visible through our lives.
So today, allow God’s light to fill your heart again. Let Him remove every shadow of fear, doubt, and confusion.
Because when His light shines within you, darkness cannot remain.

Lord God, thank You for shining Your light into my heart. Thank You for revealing Your love, truth, and glory through Jesus Christ.
Where there is darkness in my life, let Your light shine brightly. Remove fear, confusion, discouragement, and anything that keeps me from seeing clearly.
Help me to walk closely with You so that Your light will guide my thoughts, decisions, and actions. Let my life reflect Your goodness to those around me.
Lord, fill my heart daily with the knowledge of Your presence and the beauty of who You are.
Thank You because Your light is greater than every darkness.
