BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.” – Romans 5:10
There was a time when we were distant from God—separated, unaware, and even opposed to His ways. Yet, even in that state, God did something extraordinary. He did not wait for us to come to Him; He reached out to us first.
Romans 5:10 reveals the depth of God’s love. While we were still far from Him, Jesus gave His life so that we could be reconciled—brought back into relationship with God.
This means our connection with God is not based on our effort, but on His grace.
If God loved us enough to restore us when we were far from Him, how much more will He continue to sustain us now that we belong to Him?
This verse reminds us that salvation is not just about what Jesus did on the cross—it is also about His life. Because He lives, we have ongoing hope, strength, and assurance. His life continues to work in us, guiding us, protecting us, and shaping us daily.
Sometimes, we may feel unworthy or distant again. We may question if we truly belong or if God is still with us. But this truth stands firm: you have been reconciled.
You are no longer separated. You are no longer an outsider. You are in relationship with God, and that relationship is secure through Christ.
So today, don’t live as though you are far from God. Live as one who has been brought near. Walk in the confidence of His love. Rest in the assurance of His grace.
Because if God did the greatest work of restoring you when you were far, He will certainly continue to keep you now that you are His.
Let’s Pray:
Lord God, thank You for reconciling me to Yourself through Jesus Christ. I am grateful that even when I was far from You, You reached out to me with love and grace.
Help me to live in the reality of that relationship. Remove any doubt or insecurity that makes me feel distant from You.
Lord, remind me daily that I belong to You. Strengthen my faith and help me to trust in the power of Jesus’ life working in me.
Teach me to walk confidently in Your love and to rest in the assurance that I am fully accepted by You.
Thank You for restoring me and for sustaining me every day.
