📖 Bible Verse for Today
Luke 24:5–6 (KJV)
“Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen…”
Daily Devotional Message
Today’s daily devotional brings us to one of the most powerful moments in the Bible—the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Luke 24:5–6, the angels ask a profound question: “Why seek ye the living among the dead?” This question is not only for the women at the tomb—it is also for us today.
The resurrection is the foundation of our faith. It is the proof that Jesus has power over death, sin, and every limitation. When the angels declared, “He is not here, but is risen,” they were announcing victory—complete and eternal victory.
But this message goes deeper than history. It challenges us to examine where we are looking for life. Many people today are searching for fulfillment, peace, and purpose in places that cannot truly satisfy. They look to temporary things—success, relationships, material possessions, or worldly achievements—hoping to find lasting joy.
Yet, just like the women at the tomb, we sometimes search in the wrong places.
The question remains: Why are you seeking the living among the dead?
Anything that is disconnected from Christ cannot give true life. Only Jesus offers eternal life, lasting peace, and real purpose. When we seek Him, we find everything we need.
The resurrection also reminds us that no situation is too dead for God to revive. What seems hopeless can be restored. What feels lost can be found again. What appears finished can be renewed.
Are you facing a situation that feels like a dead end? Perhaps it’s a dream that didn’t work out, a relationship that broke down, or a season of discouragement. The resurrection reminds us that God specializes in bringing life out of what seems lifeless.
Jesus didn’t just rise from the dead—He also brings resurrection power into our daily lives. That means you don’t have to live defeated, stuck, or bound by your past. Through Christ, you can experience renewal, transformation, and victory.
Another important part of this passage is remembrance. The angels reminded the women of what Jesus had already told them. Sometimes, we forget God’s promises when we are overwhelmed by our circumstances. We focus on what we see instead of what God has said.
Today, take time to remember God’s promises over your life. His Word is true, and His power is still at work.
Instead of searching for answers in places that cannot satisfy, turn your heart toward Jesus. He is alive, and He is present in your life today. He is not distant or unreachable—He is with you, ready to guide, strengthen, and renew you.
Let this be the day you stop searching in empty places and start living in the power of His resurrection.
🙏Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the power of the resurrection. Thank You that Jesus is alive and that His victory is my victory. Help me to seek You above all else and not look for fulfillment in things that cannot satisfy.
Lord, breathe new life into every area of my life that feels dry or discouraged. Restore my hope, renew my strength, and fill me with Your peace.
Remind me of Your promises and help me to trust in Your Word. Teach me to walk daily in the power of the resurrection and to live with faith, confidence, and purpose.
Thank You for bringing life where there was once emptiness. I surrender everything to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
