📖 Bible Verse for Today
Luke 20:17–18 (KJV)
“The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner…”
🌿Daily Devotional Message
Today’s daily devotional reveals a deep and powerful truth about rejection, purpose, and God’s divine plan. In Luke 20:17–18, Jesus refers to Himself as the stone that was rejected by the builders but later became the cornerstone—the most important part of the structure.
In construction, the cornerstone is the foundation upon which everything else is aligned. Without it, the structure cannot stand properly. When Jesus used this illustration, He was showing that even though He was rejected by people, He was chosen and established by God as essential.
This message speaks directly to anyone who has ever felt rejected, overlooked, or misunderstood. Sometimes, people may fail to see your value. They may dismiss your ideas, ignore your gifts, or underestimate your potential. But rejection from people does not cancel God’s purpose for your life.
Just as Jesus was rejected but later exalted, God can take what others have overlooked and turn it into something powerful and meaningful. What people reject, God can use.
The verse also carries a warning: “Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.” This shows that how we respond to Christ matters deeply.
To “fall upon the stone” means to humble yourself before God. It means surrendering your pride, your plans, and your will to Him. This kind of brokenness is not destructive—it is transformative. God uses it to shape and refine us.
However, rejecting Christ completely leads to spiritual destruction. That is why it is so important to build your life on Him. When Jesus is your foundation, your life gains stability, purpose, and direction.
Many people build their lives on unstable foundations—money, status, relationships, or personal achievements. While these things may seem strong for a time, they are not eternal. Only Christ is a firm and lasting foundation.
Today, take a moment to evaluate what your life is built on. Is Jesus truly the cornerstone of your decisions, your values, and your future? Or are you relying on things that can easily change?
God is calling you to center your life on Christ. When He becomes your foundation, everything else begins to align properly. Your choices become clearer, your purpose becomes stronger, and your life becomes more stable.
Even if you have experienced rejection, remember this: God can still elevate you. He can take what was dismissed and make it essential. He can turn your pain into purpose and your rejection into redirection.
Choose today to build your life on the One who will never fail.
🙏Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Jesus as the cornerstone of my life. Help me to build everything I do on Him. Teach me to trust Him completely and to align my life with His truth.
Lord, if there is any area where I have been relying on unstable foundations, help me to surrender it to You. Remove pride, fear, and anything that keeps me from fully depending on You.
Heal every wound caused by rejection and remind me that my identity and value come from You alone. Strengthen my faith and guide my steps so that my life is firmly rooted in Christ.
Thank You for being my foundation, my strength, and my hope.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
