📖 Bible Verse for Today
Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV)
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing…”
🌿 Daily Devotional Message
Today’s daily devotional brings a powerful message of hope, renewal, and divine transformation. In Isaiah 43:18–19, God speaks directly to His people, reminding them not to dwell on the past but to look forward to the new thing He is about to do.
Many of us struggle with letting go of the past. We hold on to past failures, regrets, disappointments, or even past successes that keep us from moving forward. Sometimes, the weight of what has already happened becomes a barrier to what God wants to do next in our lives.
But God clearly says, “Remember ye not the former things.” This does not mean we ignore our experiences completely, but rather that we do not allow them to define or limit us. God is not finished with your story. No matter what you have gone through, He has something new ahead.
The phrase “I will do a new thing” is a promise of fresh beginnings. God is always working, even when you cannot see it. Sometimes, the new thing He is doing starts quietly—beneath the surface, in ways you don’t immediately recognize. It may begin as a change in your heart, a new opportunity, or a shift in your direction.
God also says, “Now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?” This is an invitation to be spiritually aware. If we are too focused on the past, we might miss the new opportunities God is placing before us. That’s why it’s important to stay sensitive to His voice and open to His leading.
Even more powerful is the part where God says He will make “a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” The wilderness represents confusion, dryness, or difficult seasons. The desert symbolizes lack and emptiness. Yet God promises to bring provision, direction, and life even in those places.
This means that no situation is beyond God’s ability to transform. What feels like a dry season in your life today could become a place of unexpected blessing tomorrow. God specializes in making a way where there seems to be no way.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, discouraged, or unsure about your future, this verse is for you. God is not limited by your past mistakes, your current struggles, or your circumstances. He is already working on something new in your life.
Today, make a decision to release the past. Let go of the pain, the regrets, and even the comfort of what is familiar. Trust God to lead you into what is next. Embrace the new thing He is doing, even if it feels unfamiliar.
God is moving. The question is—are you ready to move with Him?
🙏Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your promise to do a new thing in my life. Today, I choose to release the past—every mistake, every disappointment, and every fear that has been holding me back.
Help me not to dwell on what is behind me, but to focus on what You are doing right now. Open my eyes to see the new opportunities You are placing before me. Give me the faith to trust You, even when I don’t fully understand the path ahead.
Lord, make a way for me where there seems to be no way. Bring provision, clarity, and direction into every area of my life. Refresh my spirit like rivers in the desert and fill me with hope for the future.
Thank You for never giving up on me and for always working things out for my good. I trust You completely.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
