FOCUS VERSE: “And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.” (1 Kings 21: 13)

Our Focal Scripture makes mention of how Naboth was carried out of the city and stoned, that he died. The men that stoned Naboth were men from the city he lived in. His fellow city men stoned him; his fellow city men had a hand in his death; his fellow city men were the instruments that were used to cut him off; his fellow city men brought his life to an end. What swallowed Naboth came from his city. He was swallowed by his city.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be swallowed by your city. You will not be swallowed by shenanigans in your city. You will not be a victim of your city. You will not be buried by events in your city. Your destiny will not be consumed by the wickedness that thrives in your city. Your light will not be dimmed by men in your city. The policies in your city will not make a mess of your destiny. You will not be swallowed in your city.
The men in Naboth’s city became messengers for his death. The tragedy that befell him was activated by the men in his city. His city literally turned against him. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your city will not turn against you. Your city will not turn against the works of your hands. Your city will not make a mess of your destiny. Your city will not undermine you. Your city will not conspire against you. Your city will not destroy you.
Anyone who is using your city and environment against you, let the fire of God answer. Anyone who is positioning thrones and powers in your city against you, let fire answer. Let the fire of God silence every wicked voice that is instigating your environment against you. Let the fire of God arise against every arrangement that wants to use your nation against you. Let the fire of God arise against those who want to undermine you.
You are not Naboth: you will not be swallowed by your city. Every conspiracy to turn your city against you, ends now.
Psalm 124: 6 says: “Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.”
DECLARATION: I will not be swallowed by my city, in Jesus’ name!
