PRAISE & WORSHIP

We have been treating this topic now for about three days. Today, we will look further at what made Abiathar to crash from grace to grass and how he found himself in that position. In our Fire Scriptures today, Saul came to Nob the city of priests and slew 85 members of Abiathar’s family. He was the only one that escaped and went to meet David at Keila.

Dearly beloved, Abiathar had a goof name. His name in …. means “Father of abundance” or my My father excels.” He was the son of Ahimelech the high priest and the forth in descent from Eli. When his father was slain with the priests of Nob, he escaped and bearing with him the Ephod, he joined David, who was then in the cave of Adullam. He rained with David and became the priest of the party (1 Samuel 30:7). When David ascended the throne of Judah Abiathar was appointed high priest.

Beloved, Abiathar was deposed (the sole historical instance of the deposition of a high priest) and banished to his home at Anathoth by Solomon because he took part in the attempt to raise Adonijah to the throne. The priesthood thus passed from the house of Ithamar. (1 Sam 2:30-36) Abiathar committed an unpardonable mistake; which removed all his privilege as a high priest and this happened to him suddenly. He suffered with David; all his family members were slain in one day by Saul who had Doeg to do his dirty work and yet, he was removed from being priest unto the Lord.

That sudden loss of job, the failure that comes when you are about to consolidate, that disappointment when you think you have scaled through and nothing could go wrong again, if you do a serious spiritual mapping,, you will discover that generational curses are responsible for what you are passing through. The way out is to repent.

Ask for God’s mercy. Go for serious deliverance and ask for the power of Jehovah God to restore all that you have lost and to forbid any rising of the affliction second time.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Any power assigned to pauperize my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Power of untimely death, I am not your candidate; die, in the name of Jesus.
3. Backwardness and retrogression, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

5. O God, arise; send Your axe and fire to break my yoke, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every curse of non-achievement, break and scatter, in the name of Jesus.
7. The problems that brought my parents down, you cannot bring me down, in the name of Jesus.
