There are moments in life when bad news arrives suddenly—uninvited, heavy, and final-sounding. News that seems to shut the door on hope. News that whispers, “It’s over… there’s no point anymore.”
Jairus experienced this kind of moment. He had taken a step of faith by going to Jesus, believing for his daughter’s healing. But before the miracle could happen, the message came: Your daughter is dead. In human terms, it was finished. The situation had moved beyond hope.
But then Jesus spoke.
“Don’t be afraid. Just trust me.”
Those words cut through fear, finality, and doubt. Because what looks finished to us is not finished to God. What feels like an ending is often where God begins to reveal His power in ways we never imagined.
Fear will always try to have the loudest voice. It speaks quickly, confidently, and convincingly. It tells you to stop believing, to stop praying, to stop expecting. But faith—faith holds on to what Jesus says, even when everything else says otherwise.
Jesus didn’t deny the situation. He redirected Jairus’ focus. Don’t be afraid. In other words, don’t let fear take control. Just trust me. Hold on to faith, even when the outcome seems impossible.
And that same invitation stands for us today.
When situations feel beyond repair…
When prayers seem unanswered…
When hope feels buried under disappointment…
Jesus still says, “Don’t be afraid. Just trust me.”
Faith in moments like these is not about having all the answers. It is about choosing to trust the One who does. It is about believing that God’s power is not limited by timing, circumstances, or even what appears final.
So whatever report you’ve received—whether in your health, your family, your finances, or your future—don’t let fear write the final chapter. Let faith rise. Let trust remain. Because Jesus is still speaking, and His word still carries life.
Let’s Pray
Lord God, You see every situation in my life that feels overwhelming or beyond hope. You know the moments where fear has tried to take over my heart. Today, I choose to bring those fears before You.
Help me not to be afraid. Teach me to trust You, even when I don’t understand what is happening around me. When bad news comes or when circumstances seem final, remind me that You have the final say.
Strengthen my faith, Lord. Help me hold on to Your word above every other voice. Let Your peace quiet my fears, and let Your truth anchor my heart.
I choose to trust You in every situation. I believe that You are still working, even when I cannot see it. And I rest in the assurance that nothing is impossible for You.
