For the twelve disciples, it was time for them to step out into the field (Luke 9:1,2). However, not without empowerment. Jesus gave them power and authority over all demons and sicknesses. Notice the clear Job Description and instructions the Lord gave them in Luke 9:2,3 (compare with ours as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-18). Some of the instructions underscore the need to wholly depend on the Lord for daily supply. We have been equally commissioned to go and preach the gospel and to heal the sick, the Great Commission every believer must obey. We are assured that Jesus never calls us to work for Him without adequately equipping us with all that we need to execute the assignment.
Meanwhile, news of the ministry of Jesus Christ was creating a puzzle for the wicked king Herod. He longed to see Jesus but for the wrong reason. He was worried about who Jesus was because he thought only John the Baptist had that type of ministry. The evil he had done in killing John will not give him peace of mind. Freedom from the torment of sin only comes if we confess our sin and ask Jesus for forgiveness.

•The priviledge to be called by His name and for enlisting to serve Him in ministry around in and out of school youths.
•All that He is working out in the lives of our young people, even as we believe Him for greater manifestation of His glory upon them.
PRAY FOR:
•Grace to continue to pour ourselves into the work of ministering to young people.
•Greater fruitfulness as we continue to proclaim Christ among our young people.
PRAY AGAINST:
•Every human structure limiting us from fulfilling our vision of rescuing and nurturing today’s youths.
•Demonic devices dampening our zeal towards youths’ ministry.
