Women’s Daily Devotional 16th January 2026 TOPIC: You Are Not Behind
BIBLE VERSE: “To everything there is a season… a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
REFLECTION: Comparison has a quiet voice, but it can be relentless. It whispers, “You should be further by now.” It points to other women’s timelines, milestones, relationships, careers, families, and breakthroughs—and suddenly, your own journey feels delayed or inadequate.
But God does not measure your life by comparison. He measures it by purpose.
You are not behind. You are in a season.
Some seasons are for building.
Some are for healing.
Some are for waiting.
Some are for resting and being restored.
And none of them are wasted.
As a woman, you may feel pressure to “have it together” by a certain age or stage. But God’s timing is not driven by panic or competition. He is forming depth in you—character, wisdom, compassion, resilience—that will serve you for the rest of your life.
What if this season is not holding you back—but preparing you?
Today, release the lie that you are late. You are exactly where God knows how to meet you. His timing is not cruel. It is kind, intentional, and perfectly aligned with His love for you.
PRAYER: Father, free my heart from comparison and self-judgment. Help me trust that my life is unfolding according to Your wisdom, not my fear. Teach me to embrace the season I am in and to see Your purpose at work within it. I choose peace over pressure and faith over frustration. Thank You for walking with me right where I am. Amen.
