Women’s Daily Devotional 13th January 2026 By Jesus Bible Foundation
This devotional is not an invitation to pressure yourself into becoming someone else. It is an invitation to rest in who God already says you are. It is a gentle space where your heart can breathe, your soul can listen, and your spirit can be renewed day by day.
Each day in this devotional is meant to meet you softly—in your mornings, your quiet moments, your pauses between responsibilities. It is written for the woman who loves deeply, gives often, and sometimes forgets to tend to her own heart. It is for the woman who wants to grow closer to God, even if she doesn’t always know how. It is for the woman who believes—but is also learning to trust again.
Welcome to a daily journey where your heart is seen, your faith is strengthened, and your life is held securely in God’s loving care.
Women’s Daily Devotional 13th January 2026 TOPIC: Choose the Better Portion
BIBLE VERSE: “Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” — Luke 10:42
REFLECTION: It’s easy to live like Martha—capable, responsible, always doing what needs to be done. Many women are praised for this. You show up. You serve. You carry the load. And yet, underneath the productivity, your soul can quietly grow tired.
Jesus does not criticize Martha’s service—but He gently protects Mary’s choice. He reminds us that while responsibilities are important, His presence is essential.
There is something in every woman that needs to sit, not strive. To be still, not useful. To be loved, not needed.
Because achievements won’t hold you when you’re emotionally drained.
Approval won’t heal your inner weariness.
Busyness won’t fill the places where peace is missing.
Only Jesus can.
Today, choosing the better portion may look small: five minutes of prayer, a whispered conversation with God, a slow reading of Scripture, a quiet moment of surrender. But heaven notices these moments. And Jesus promises—what you receive from His presence will not be taken from you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Jesus, help me choose Your presence over pressure. When life pulls me in many directions, gently call me back to You. Teach me how to sit at Your feet and receive what my soul truly needs. Restore me in Your presence and remind me that I am loved for who I am, not only for what I do. Amen.
