TODAY’S WORD
All of us can look back and see things that should have defeated us. You may have gone through a divorce or a setback that could have given you a nervous breakdown, but look at you—you’re still standing, still happy, restored, and whole. You’ve been through some deep waters, but you’ve also seen the goodness of God. You’ve seen Him lift you, restore you, heal you, and protect you. When you have this history with God, and you remember what He’s done, you don’t get discouraged by every difficulty, you don’t get upset when people talk negatively about you, and you don’t fall apart when you have a disappointment. You know that God has brought you through powerful rivers, and He’ll bring you through in the future.
Are you letting something defeat you because you think you don’t have the strength to endure? You have to get in agreement with God’s promise that no matter what comes your way, He will be with you. You’ll pass through the waters and not be overwhelmed. When it’s all said and done, you’ll still be standing.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for Your promise that no matter what comes my way, You will be with me. Thank You that You will bring me through the deep waters, and I’ll still be standing strong at the end. I believe that You have done it in the past, and You will do it again. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
