OPENING PRAYER
Grant me depth of insight, revelation and knowledge as I meditate on this passage, O Lord.
SCRIPTURE READING
Hebrews 13:18-25 (NIV)
18 Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. 19 I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.
20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
22 Brothers and sisters, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you quite briefly.
23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.
24 Greet all your leaders and all the Lord’s people. Those from Italy send you their greetings.
25 Grace be with you all.
QUESTIONS FOR MEDITATION

Scripture Union Daily Guide – 26 November 2025 | OUTLINE
Prayer is an indispensable factor in the life of a Christian. However, intercession is a challenging ministry. With the right information and clear leading of the Holy Spirit, believers can intercede correctly. Peter was set free from prison through corporate intercessory prayer (Acts 12:1-12). The Christian life is full of challenges, and we need to request for prayers from fellow believers. Why did the writer of this scripture request prayers in Hebrews 13:18-19? Observe that the writer was an example of his request (Hebrews 13:20-21).
Read Hebrews 13:20-21 again. What truth can you see? Christ’s sacrifice on the cross equips the believers with the virtues to succeed in the race and in relationships on earth. We should emulate the author’s example of giving relevant prayer and praise information on specific issues to his readers. God’s grace is always sufficient in all things and at all times. His grace will keep us going while in difficulties (2 Corinthians 12:7-10). Grace began the Christian life and grace alone will help the saints to finish well.
