When life seems unfair and the wicked appear to triumph, remember that our God never sleeps. He is the Covenant-Keeping God who turns evil into good and pain into purpose. The psalmist cried, “Show me a token for good,” because he knew that one divine act of mercy can silence every mocker and bring comfort to the weary soul.
Today, God is saying: “Be still. I will defend you. I will comfort you. I will show forth My goodness in your life for My name’s sake.” What the enemy meant for evil, the Lord will turn into a testimony. Your tears will not be wasted; your pain will not end in shame. He who promised is faithful — and He will do it. 🙌
Daily Devotional for Today – October 8, 2025 Prayer:
O Father, my Helper and my Shield, do not be silent over my situation. Arise and let my enemies know that You are my Defender. Shock my adversaries and surprise my acquaintances with Your goodness.
Because of Your holy name that I proclaim daily, increase my greatness and comfort me on every side according to Your word in Psalm 71:21. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, and lift me from the miry clay. Remember Your covenant promises, for You are not a man that You should lie.
Father, defend, vindicate, strengthen, settle, and establish me where I need each of these. Turn every evil plot to good and let my life bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen! 🙏
