Open Heaven For Teens – 4 September 2025 MESSAGE:
I once had a strict sports master when I was much younger and still had the ability to engage in sporting activities. One of the things he taught me to do while jogging for miles in the morning was to keep speaking positively as I took each step. This act pumps dopamine – a hormone secreted to heighten happiness in the brain – into the system. It is important to note that the more you speak positively, the more your body adjusts to positive situations.
Words are so powerful that they can influence a person’s life; no wonder the Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” (Proverbs 18:21). God created the world through His words. This means that you can also create a beautiful future for yourself through your words. Every morning, start by confessing positive words into your life and destiny. Make statements like: “I can do all things through Christ,” “I am blessed, smart, favoured, lifted, and successful,” “My future is bright,” “I will never be stranded,” “I will fulfil God’s purpose for my life,” and “I will not die young.”
These confessions are based on God’s word, and since God’s word can never fail, they will definitely come to pass in your life.
KEY POINT
Write out the above confessions and say them every morning.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
Ecclesiastes 7:1-9:18 2, Corinthians 7:8-16
HYMN 63
O FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING
1 O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and King,
The triumphs of his grace!
2 My gracious Master and my God,
Assist me to proclaim,
To spread thro’ all the earth abroad
The honours of your name.
3 Jesus! the name that charms ourfears,
that bids our sorrows cease,
‘Tis music in the sinner’s ears,
‘Tis life and health and peace.
4 He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean;
His blood availed for me.
5 Hear Him, ye dear, His praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ
Ye blind behold your Saviour come;
And leap, ye lame, for joy.
