TOPIC: Egypt’s Fleeting Pleasures
Hebrews 11:25-26 (KJV)
He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt because he was looking ahead to his reward.
The story of Moses around the world is regarded as one of the most fascinating examples of how God can display His power through man for His glory. What many do not realise is the significance of this biblical account, as a beautiful example of how when you choose to reject the temporary pleasures of this world, God can use you mightily to benefit His kingdom. Moses before he left Egypt, held a position of great affluence and status in what was the biggest, most advanced civilisations in the entire world, ancient Egypt!

Despite all this, the Bible describes it all as fleeting pleasures of sin. Imagine that wealth without God is emptiness! Moses regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as a greater treasure than all the gold, diamonds, architectural brilliance, and power of Egypt. As a Christian leave the fleeting pleasures of this earth behind you in exchange for an eternal reward In Christ Jesus – this is of greater value.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
The fleeting pleasures of this world are not the focus of my life. Wealth and status mean nothing if God is not involved. So, I prophesy that from now, my life is even more Kingdom focused in Jesus Name! Amen.
