Colossians 3:17 (KJV)
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
What made Paul at the end of his ministry say statements like I have finished my race, I have fought a good fight, with so much confidence in the fact that he had completed his personal mission? The verse above gives us perfect insight into his frame of mind. Paul did everything in the name of Jesus! Whilst this may seem like a palatable concept, many Christians do not always operate in this reality!

Can you confidently say that your motive for wanting that brand new job is so that you can bankroll the kingdom? Can you truthfully state the reason for you wanting that new car is to be able to make it to more church programs? How many things in your life are done with the sole purpose of pleasing the Lord? Just imagine the bountiful results you would produce if you dedicated absolutely everything in your life to Him today! You attract heavenly intervention by simply doing everything in the powerful name of the Lord!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Everything I do is in the Name of the Lord Jesus. My whole being is centred around pleasing God and I am so grateful to Him for giving me life every day. I shall use this same life to glorify Him in Jesus Name! Amen.
