MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 19TH AUGUST 2025 MESSAGE:

The Holy Spirit of God is a Person, the third person of the trinity. He is the Executor of the will of God. The Bible gives us a picture of Him at creation, as the creative essence of God. He moved upon the waters and brought all the spoken Word of God into being (Genesis 1:2b).

In the New Testament, He was given to the believers and to the Church as a Comforter and a Guide. As a popular man of God used to say, HE is our Senior Partner in our ministry to God’s people. We cannot do anything apart from the Spirit of God (John 15:5).

The Holy Spirit dwells in believers. John 14:17 says, “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” The Bible also affirms that if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his (Romans 8:9b). As a believer, the Holy Spirit is your spiritual dynamo, your Teacher, your Guide, your Illuminator, your Helper and Comforter. You need Him for everything and in all things in your Christian walk on earth. He is the believer’s indispensable Companion.

Many people erroneously think that prayer and fasting are the main sources of getting spiritual power for a Christian, but the Bible says, “Thou shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” Therefore, the Holy Spirit is the true Source of the believer’s power. He is the custodian of the anointing. He has been in existence since the earth was created, even in the record of the Old Testament.

The Holy Spirit enabled David to kill Goliath. He empowered Elijah to defeat the Prophet of Baal. He emboldened and enabled the apostles to turn their world upside down. He is the power behind the major revivals the earth has witnessed.

Beloved, the believer is supposed to experience the indwelling, abiding and empowering presence of the Holy Spirit everyday. This will ensure sweatless victory and amazing successes with ease.

However, do not grieve the Holy Spirit so that He does not withdraw Himself from you. When He withdrew from King Saul and from Samson, both of them ended as mere shadows of themselves.
You will end well, in the Name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Holy Spirit come upon me, power of the Highest overshadow me, in the Name of Jesus.
2. The Holy Spirit will not depart from me, in the Name of Jesus.
3. Holy Spirit, grant me Your abiding, indwelling and empowering presence, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. Holy Spirit, the Custodian of the anointing, anoint me today, in the Name of Jesus.
5. Power to change my world for Jesus, come upon me, in the Name of Jesus.
6. Holy Spirit, destroy the strong man assigned against me by fire, in the Name of Jesus.
7. Holy Spirit, arise and turn my shame to glory, in the Name of Jesus.
