TOPIC: No Darkness
SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 13:6-9(KJV)
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Jesus told the parable of the fig tree in our Focal Scripture; and in the narrative of His parable, there was a mention of how the fig tree had no fruits on it. According to agriculturists, fig trees thrive in sunlight. The more the sunlight, the more the fig tree is able to grow and produce fruits. Direct sunlight impacts positively on the yield of the fig tree. Less sunlight will prevent fig trees from yielding as much fruit as they could.
Friend, in the journey of destiny, darkness and fruitfulness do not work together. Any man who intends to be fruitful must be intentional to keep away from darkness and dark works. Any man who intends to bear fruits that will remain, must be intentional to disconnect from the dead works of darkness that work in conflict with fruitfulness and results. Your connection to dark works will scuttle and undermine your fruitfulness.
If the enemy is beginning to create a culture of sin in your life, just be rest assured that he is creating the right atmosphere to stop you from being all that God wants you to be. Every connection with unfruitful works of darkness is a preparation for unfruitfulness in the works of your hands. To choose a life in darkness is to choose to be unfruitful. To choose darkness is to choose to be ordinary. To choose darkness is to choose death.
If there is a pattern of dark works that you have already embraced, now is the best time to cut them off. Walk away from relationships that open up your life to dead works. Walk away from environments that predispose you to sin and unrighteousness. Walk away from the life of sin that opens up to your life to death on different levels. Walk away from the unfruitful works of darkness. Don’t mix the light of God in you, with darkness.
You were not called to join the darkness in the world. You were raised and called to be the light of the world. You were called out of darkness so that you can dwell in His marvelous light.
DECLARATION:
I speak the word of the Lord; the word of God I speak will control my reality, in Jesus’ name!
