Streams of Joy 26th May 2025 Devotional (Thursday) Message
TOPIC: Gather the Fragments
SCRIPTURE READING: John 6: 1-14
FOCUS VERSE
“When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.” (John 6: 12)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of the fragments of the barley loaves which Jesus ordered to be gathered, and which filled twelve baskets. Notice that what the disciples gathered, were not full loaves; they simply gathered fragments; they gathered little pieces; they gathered pieces that could have been abandoned if not for Jesus’ instruction to gather them all. Notice also that it was these small pieces that made up to twelve baskets.
Friend, there are times when your loaves will come in fragments; still gather them. Gather your fragments. Gather your small things. Gather your little chances to shine forth the light of God in you. Gather your little opportunities. Gather the little help that comes your way from different angles. Gather the little things that El Roi has brought your way. Gather the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost in your provision.
The disciples of Jesus kept gathering the fragments, until they had twelve baskets filled with fragments. They gathered the little things that were available to be gathered, until the fragments were so much as to fill twelve baskets. If you keep gathering your small fragments, you will soon have your twelve baskets filled with loaves. If you continue to gather the little things that El Roi brings per time, you will soon have a lot.
You will be making a huge destiny mistake if you think your fragments are too little to be gathered. You will be making a mistake if you take the little things that come your way for granted. You will be opening the doors of losses if you ignore the little things that El Roi makes happen for you. No matter how little your fragments are, gather them. No matter how little the resources, help, open doors, finances, etc., gather them.
May it never be said that you missed out on your twelve baskets because you were unwilling to gather the fragments. May it never be said that you missed your overflow because they came in small pieces.
Job 8: 7 says: “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”
DECLARATION: I gather my fragments; nothing will be lost, in Jesus’ name!
