Streams of Joy 22nd May 2025 Devotional (Sunday) Message

SCRIPTURE READING: John 6:1-14
FOCUS VERSE: “And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.” (John 6: 11)
Our Focal Scripture narrates the sequence of events as the bread and fish got to the multitude. Jesus took the bread, broke it, and gave to His disciples, who also gave to those who were sitting down. Jesus only broke the bread and gave to His disciples. Notice that eventually, the bread multiplied, not in the hands of Jesus, but in the hands of His disciples. So, what entered into the hands of the disciples multiplied in their hands.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: whatever the Lord has put in your hands will multiply. Whatever resources that El Roi has put in your hands shall multiply. Whatever opportunities that have been put in your hands will multiply. Whatever grace that has been put in your hands will multiply. Whatever finances that you have in your hands will multiply. God will cause your business, career, ministry, vocation, etc. to multiply.
What came into the hands of the disciples were mere fragments, but the same fragments multiplied in their hands. What they received was insignificant, but it multiplied all the same. Hear me as I hear the Lord: what you have in your hands may be small but it will multiply. You may have just fragments but they will multiply. You may not have all you desire to have, but the little you have will multiply. Your fragments will multiply.
It will never be said that it came into your hands and became small or remained small. It will never be said that your resources remained small. It will never be said that your business remained small. It will never be said that your career remained small. It will never be said that your family remained small. It will never be said that the works of your hands remained small. It will never be said that it came into your hands and remained small.
Welcome to that season where everything that comes into your hands will multiply. Welcome to that season where your bread and your fish will multiply in your hands.
Isaiah 60: 22 says: “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.”
DECLARATION: What the Lord has placed in my hands shall multiply, in Jesus’ name!
