PRAISE AND WORSHIP
PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: As you stir up the gifts of God within you this year, I decree that you shall operate in new levels of anointing and effectiveness, in the name of Jesus.
FIRE SCRIPTURE: 2 Timothy 1:6-14(NIV)
6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 11 And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. 12 That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.
13 What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. 14 Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
MFM Daily Devotional 10th June 2025 – MESSAGE
God has endowed each of us with unique gifts and talents intended to fulfill His purposes and bless others. However, these gifts can remain dormant if not actively cultivated and used. Paul’s exhortation to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:6 serves as a powerful reminder to “stir up the gift of God” within us. This stirring involves actively developing and using the gifts God has entrusted to us.
Beloved, God has deposited something special within you, a unique combination of gifts, talents, and abilities. These are not meant to be hidden or neglected but to be nurtured and used for His glory. In the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30), Jesus illustrates the importance of using what we have been given. Those who invested their talents were rewarded, while the one who buried his talent faced reprimand.
To stir up God’s gift in you, begin by acknowledging what He has placed within you. Spend time in prayer, asking God to reveal and ignite those gifts. Surround yourself with godly mentors and believers who can help you grow and develop in your calling. Engage in activities and ministries where your gifts can be exercised and refined.
In 1 Peter 4:10, we are encouraged to use our gifts to serve others as good stewards of God’s manifold grace. As you do so, you will not only grow in your abilities but also bring glory to God and blessings to those around you. Remember, the gifts of God are irrevocable (Romans 11:29), and He desires to see them flourish in your life.
This year, intentionally take steps to awaken your inner gifts. Don’t allow doubt, fear, or complacency to stop you. Go forward in trust, and let God utilise you powerfully for His glory. You will feel His power and presence more strongly in your life as a result of doing this. Therefore, I encourage you to take the following three steps:
- Identify your spiritual gifts (Romans 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
- Develop and refine them through practice and study.
- Use your gift to serve others and glorify God.
MFM DEVOTIONAL PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. O Lord, help me to recognize and stir up the gifts You have placed within me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every spirit of fear and timidity, hindering the use of my gifts, be broken, in the name of Jesus.
3. I receive the boldness and courage to step out in faith and use my God-given gifts, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Holy Spirit, breathe upon my gifts and talents, and let them come alive, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every dormant gift within me, receive divine activation, in the name of Jesus.
6. O God, connect me with mentors and opportunities to develop my gifts, in the name of Jesus.
7. I declare that my gifts will bring glory to God and blessings to others, in the name of Jesus.
