READ: Genesis 2:19(NIV)
19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.
OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
In today’s Bible reading, Adam gave each animal a name after conceiving it in his mind, and God had no reason to change them. I believe that Adam tapped into the supernatural to know what each animal would be called. Similarly, your thoughts have a way of syncing with the supernatural to eventually become your reality.
Many years ago, the Archbishop of my town visited my secondary school, and the students lined up along the roads on both sides. Hunters positioned themselves strategically and shot their rifles into the air as the Archbishop stepped out of a black car. When I looked at his shoes, they were very shiny. I didn’t have a pair of shoes then, but I told myself that I would grow up to become great and come back to my town to be celebrated also. As God would have it, when I became the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and visited my town, I was given the exact same reception.
My dear child, why don’t you begin to think big now? Your thoughts will eventually become your reality.
KEY POINT
Dream big.

HYMN 43
LEAD US HEAVENLY FATHER, LEAD US
1 Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
o’er the world’s tempestuous sea;
guard us, guide us, keep us, feed us,
for we have no help but thee;
yet possessing every blessing,
if our God our Father be.
2 Saviour, breathe forgiveness o’er us:
all our weakness thou dost know;
thou didst tread this earth before us,
thou didst feel its keenest woe;
lone and dreary, faint and weary,
through the desert thou didst go.
3 Spirit of our God, descending,
fill our hearts with heavenly joy,
love with every passion blending,
pleasure that can never cloy:
thus provided, pardoned, guided,
nothing can our peace destroy.
